Parents! Want to make a difference at Lakeview Public School?
We encourage all parents (and even grandparents) to share their time and skills to enhance school life at Lakeview. We have a range of activities throughout the year that need volunteer support. Please consider volunteering in an area that interests you, whether on an occasional or regular basis.
We also invite you to come out to a Lakeview Parent Council meeting. At Lakeview Council meetings you will learn about the issues and activities that impact our students’ learning environment and opportunities for parents to get involved. You will get information about the school and its programs directly from Principal Shields and teacher representatives. Most importantly, you will have a forum to share your thoughts, feedback and ideas for how we can all make Lakeview Public School an even better place for our children to learn! See the Council meeting schedule.
Current volunteer needs (please check back often)
- Pizza day volunteers: Every other Wednesday, 10:15 am
We are looking for parent volunteers to come out and help us hand out pizza to the students. We would need about ½ hr. of your time (every 2nd Wednesday at 10:15 am)
- Fundraising Committee
We are looking for parents to be part of our fundraising committee. Examples of a few of our fundraising goals for this year are covering part of the cost for bus transportation to special events, special Art and Science programs (ie: Scientists in school, MASC), technology and classroom needs in the school and more.
If you would like to volunteer, or just get more information, please email the Council Chair at email@example.com.
