Our next Council meeting will focus on planning Mayfair! Mayfair is scheduled for Saturday, May 11th, and is a wonderful event that brings Lakeview families and the community together for a day of fun and entertainment. It is also our biggest fundraiser of the year.
If you would like to help plan Mayfair, or have suggestions for making it a successful event, please join us! We will meet in the Lakeview library on March 5th, at 6:45 pm.
Did your kids tell you about (or show you) the dances they learned last week in the Tradansa program? This 3-day workshop taught Lakeview students dances from a variety of cultures and traditions.
Did you know that the Tradansa workshops were fully funded by Lakeview School Council? We were able to bring this fantastic program to Lakeview with funds raised by our events and programs, such as our Lunch Programs, Mayfair, the Wreath and Centrepiece sale, and the Lakeview clothing sale. Thank you for supporting these programs and thank you to the volunteers who made them happen!
This Is Healthful is hosting a free public event:

This is a non-school / non-School Council event, but it is a community event we hope Lakeview PS families will come out and enjoy.
A portion of the donations from the event will go towards outdoor sports equipment for our school.
Hope to see you all there!
Mark your calendars! Lakeview’s 26th annual Mayfair is happening on May 11th, 2019. Stay tuned for more information about this wonderful community event.

Online ordering is open for Term 2 (Jan. 30 – Apr. 11) of the lunch program for Pizza, Pita and Popcorn. The deadline for Term 2 orders is January 24. A flyer was sent home recently, and further information on ordering can be found on the Lunch Programs page.
Our lunch programs raise funds for projects to benefit Lakeview students. (They also give parents a break from making lunches!)
