Don’t think of this as just a GIFT card, these cards can be used to buy pretty much anything! …your groceries, fill your car, a night out, a new wardrobe… (because we all know our kids grow way too fast!).
Whenever you buy a gift card you still get the full amount that you purchase, but a percentage goes to our fundraising campaign. It’s like giving away free money on things you would be purchasing anyway!

Lakeview School Council meetings have started up again. They will be the second Tuesday of each month and all meetings will be virtual this year. A few days before each meeting, Principal Capitani will send out a link to sign up for the Google Meet.

Council meetings are open to anyone. It’s a great place to find out what is happening in the school, to give your feedback, and to meet other parents and the principal. More information and meeting agendas can be found on the Council website.
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all in so many ways – as a school, as a community, and, of course, as individuals. The Family Support Fund has been open for two weeks and it has been a success. To date we have raised over $1500!
If you are interested in donating, there is still time. Here are the details:
We have set up a donation fund to help support Lakeview families in need during this time. Our principal, Jennifer Capitani, will work closely with the families in need to ensure the funds are distributed accordingly.
Any excess funds raised will be donated to The Education Foundation of Ottawa which supports all students in the OCDSB.
As we are not a registered charity but rather families helping other families in a very challenging time, we are unable to provide a tax receipt. We thank you for your understanding.

The OCDSB has directed schools to cancel School Council meetings going forward for the 2019-2020 school year. We are required to have 5 meetings annually, and our School Council at Lakeview has already met this requirement.
