67’s fundraiser was a fun family event

Ottawa 67sThanks to everyone who came out to the Ottawa 67’s game on February 2nd! We had a great turnout, and everyone enjoyed the performance by our choir, Percu-chant, during the first intermission. We were also treated to a fantastic win by the 67’s.

The funds raised by this event exceeded expectations at $1475! All funds will go towards programs for Lakeview students.

We want to give a big thanks to the teachers who lead Percu-chant, Jane LeFeuvre, Sue Fields, and Diana McDonald, as well as our parent voluteers who made this event happen (especially Kinga and Caitlin for stepping in at the last minute to conduct)!

The 67’s fundraiser is still on! Ticket order deadline is Jan. 24th.

Ottawa 67s

Our school choir, PercuChant, will still be performing at the Ottawa 67’s hockey game despite the current teacher job action!

Because this is NOT a school-sponsored event, we are able to proceed. A parent will step in to lead the choir if Mme Jane is not eligible to attend.

The game is at 2 pm on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020, at TD Place (Lansdowne). Lakeview School Council is selling discount tickets for this game, and a portion of ticket sales will go toward programs for Lakeview students.

Youth Ticket (under 18) – $20*
Adult Ticket – $25
*Tickets for PercuChant performers are free
(Please contact Jennifer Capitani at 613-828-8077 if you need financial assistance)

To purchase tickets, simply log into your Hot Lunches account:

For those without a Hot Lunches account, we also accept cash or cheques (please fill out this form (PDF) and submit with cash or cheque to the Lakeview office).

All monies must be collected by Friday, January 24th, 2020. Tickets will be picked up at the door at the event (we will NOT be selling tickets at the door).

PLEASE NOTE: This fundraiser is NOT a school-sponsored event. As such, Lakeview Public School and Lakeview School Council assume no risk or responsibility. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children AT ALL TIMES during this event.

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? We need a Hot Lunches Coordinator!

VolunteerOur current Hot Lunches Coordinator is looking for a new volunteer to help out for the rest of the school year. This is a great opportunity for a parent who wants to help out outside of school hours. The Hot Lunches Program raises significant funds for Lakeview programs.

Can you spend a few hours each month helping with the following tasks?

  • Communicate and plan schedules with the popcorn coordinator and the pizza coordinator
  • Prepare handouts for parents at the start of each lunch term (templates provided)
  • Use the Hot Lunches website to set up schedules for each lunch term
  • Answer parent emails
  • Enter cash and cheque payments received
  • Provide statements to School Council’s Treasurer

If so, please email to express your interest – we would love to have your help!
