Access to Lakeview Public School
For the foreseeable future OCDSB does not plan to allow teacher or parent access to the school to retrieve items. As more information becomes available, Principal Capitani will keep our school community informed.

Dear Lakeview Friends and Families,
We need your help! The Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all in so many ways – as a school, as a community and of course as individuals.
You can help! We have set up a donation fund to help support Lakeview families in need during this time. Our principal, Jennifer Capitani, will work closely with the families in need to ensure the funds are distributed accordingly.
Any excess funds raised will be donated to The Education Foundation of Ottawa which supports all students in the OCDSB.
As we are not a registered charity but rather families helping other families in a very challenging time, we are unable to provide a tax receipt. We thank you for your understanding.
If you have already signed-up for the remaining pizza days and would like to donate those funds please send an email to lakeviewhotlunches@gmail.com to let them know.
If you are finding yourself in need of support at this time, please reach out to our Principal, Jennifer Capitani (jennifer.capitani@ocdsb.ca).
Thank you for your continued support and we wish you and your families well.
Yours in solidarity, Lakeview School Council
Given the closure of the school for the 2 weeks following March Break, we have made the following adjustments to the Hot Lunches programs:
If you have any questions, please contact lakeviewhotlunches@gmail.com.
The Lakeview School Council is fundraising with Purdys Chocolatier during the month of March! If you’d like to support Lakeview Public School through purchasing some very sweet gifts for friends, family or yourself, please use the following link.
Order here: https://fundraising.purdys.com/1158819-74433.
After you’ve signed in, you can order Purdys’ amazing chocolates or invite others to join and support our delicious fundraising campaign.
Ordering will close on March 24th, and the orders will be made available for pickup at the school during the afternoon and evening of April 7th (a Council meeting night).
Any questions may be sent to Lakeview.Choco@gmail.com. Thank you!
We are looking for a volunteer to run our Movie Night and a few additional volunteers to help out.
In past years the movie night has been a great community building activity. We take over the gym at Lakeview, families are invited to bring a comfy blanket and some pillows, and we settle in for a fun, family-oriented movie.
If this is your first time volunteering, we have many members of the council who will gladly provide information on how to set up a successful event.
If you are interested, please email Chair@lakeviewschoolcouncil.ca.
Mayfair is happening Saturday, 30 May 2020. More details to follow but please set this day aside for some community fun and excitement!
Planning for Mayfair, our biggest activity of the year is in full swing and we need your help!
We have many great Lead Volunteers, but we are in need of some additional help in a few key areas:
Mayfair cannot happen without these essential lead volunteers.
New volunteers don’t need to start from scratch as the parents who coordinated these events last year can provide all the necessary information.
Interested? Questions? Please email Chair@lakeviewschoolcouncil.ca.
The Lost and Found is full. If you are missing an item from your child’s clothing please stop by and have a look in the Lost and Found bin located outside the Kinder – Orange Classroom. Items left unclaimed by March Break will be disposed of.
