The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) is inviting parents and educators to a free parent forum in downtown Ottawa on Sat. March 7 from 9:00-2:00. The forum is composed of two sessions. The first session will deliver information about EQAO’s province-wide assessment program (i.e. an overview of EQAO elementary (Gr. 3 & 6) and secondary assessments (Gr. 9), the process for developing and scoring the assessments and an explanation about how the results from these assessments contribute to student learning in Ontario’s schools).

In the 2nd session, guest speaker – educator and author Dr. Lynda Colgan discusses the differences that parents can make in their child’s mathematics education.
