Crystal Beach/Lakeview Community Association – WALKING CLUB

The benefits of walking as a way of keeping active and fit are well known. But sometimes it is hard to stay motivated and put “good intentions” into action so…. Come join the CBLCA on MONDAY, TUESDAY, AND THURSDAY MORNINGS at 8:30 A.M. (Meet at Maki Park on Leeming Dr.) The walking routes are through Andrew Haydon Park, and on neighbourhood streets, with a monthly excursion on a nearby Greenbelt trail.

STARTS Monday November 16th “Rain or Shine”.

1st Annual Crystal Beach – Lakeview OUTDOOR CURLING BONSPIEL, Sunday Feb 2/2014

An outdoor curling bonspiel is being planned for the residents of Crystal Beach – Lakeview in Lakeview Park, located at 62 Horner Drive, on Sunday, February 2, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. An evening social gathering will follow at the Nepean Sailing club. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy one of Canada’s most popular sporting activities outdoors with friends and neighbours.

There are only enough spaces for a maximum of 48 curlers (12 teams) and spaces will be allocated on a first come basis. You can register individually, or as a foursome. Those who register individually will be placed on a team. Each game will last 4 ends (45 minutes) and every team will play a minimum of 2 games. No team will ever have to wait more than 1 hour between games.

No curling experience is needed. It is a fun event for those with little skill. In past years the winners have been novices.

For further information and to register, please contact Betty or Al Arseneault at aag@rogers.com or by telephone at 613 596 2540.
