Crystal Beach/Lakeview Outdoor Curling Bonspiel

Saturday, January 25, 2020

A community outdoor curling bonspiel is being planned for the residents of Crystal Beach/Lakeview in Lakeview Park, located at 62 Horner Drive, on Saturday, January 25, 2020 (Sat. Feb. 1 in the event of inclement weather). Inclement weather will be called if the daytime weather forecast calls for either above zero temperatures, more than 5 cm of snowfall or a wind chill factor of -20C.

It’s a unique opportunity to raise funds for a good cause and to enjoy one of Canada’s most popular sporting activities outdoors with friends and neighbours.

The cost will be $10/person and all funds raised will be donated to the Lakeview School Council. Spaces will be allocated on a first come basis. You can register individually, or as a foursome. Those who register individually will be placed on a team. Each game will last 4 ends (45 minutes) and every team will play a minimum of 2 games. No team will ever have to wait more than 1 hour between games. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available.

Important Note: Due to the nature of this event taking place on a glossy ice surface, participants are strongly advised to wear helmets (ski/snowboard, hockey or bicycle).

For further information and to register, please contact Betty or Al Arseneault at aag@rogers.com or by telephone at 613-851-1294.

Please note: Although funds raised will go to Lakeview School Council, this is NOT a School Council- or Lakeview-sponsored event.
