Thank you to our Welcome Dance Night volunteers!

The Welcome Family Dance Night was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without all of the volunteers.

A special thank you to Joan Wright and her team of dedicated volunteers who helped set-up, run, and clean up after the event. Also, thank you to all of the parents and students who attended. It was great to see so much of our school community coming together for a great night.

Welcome Family Dance Night. Proudly sponsored by the Lakeview School Council

What: Welcome Family Dance Night
When: Friday, October 18, 2019, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Where: Lakeview Public School, 35 Corkstown Rd, Nepean, ON K2H 7V4

Proudly sponsored by your Lakeview School Council, the event is open to all Lakeview PS students and their immediate family members. Come meet your school council and other families, and join us in the school gym for music and dancing.

Council will also be offering complimentary pre-ordered pizza. In order to receive your FREE slice of pizza and drinks for your family, you MUST fill out the online pizza pre-order form by Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

Glow sticks and other treats will be available for purchase. Any extra pizza and drinks may be sold after everyone has picked up their orders, but we cannot guarantee that extra will be available.

All children attending MUST BE supervised by an adult at all times during the event — in the school or outside.

Lakeview School Council Welcome Family Dance Night: Volunteers Needed!

Our annual Welcome Dance Night is coming up on October 18th!

What: A Welcome Family Dance Night with complimentary pizza and dancing in the gym
Who: Sponsored by the Lakeview School Council, the event is open to all Lakeview students and their immediate family members
Why: Welcome to a new school year at Lakeview PS! Come meet other families and your School Council
When: Friday, October 18, 2019, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Where: Lakeview Public School, 35 Corkstown Rd, Nepean, ON K2H 7V4

However, we need volunteers in order to run the event! So please consider giving an hour of your time to make this event possible. Please sign up using the Volunteer Sign-up Sheet here. (Make sure to add your email address next to your name so that the lead parent can email you with further information.)

Unfortunately, if we don’t have enough parent volunteers by Friday, Oct. 11th, the Welcome Dance Night will be cancelled.

In the meantime, to give families interested in joining us a head start, here’s the Pizza Pre-order Form so you can sign up for your FREE pizza slice and drink. You must pre-order to get your free slice and drink. We will send you notice, once we have final confirmation of the event.

The Welcome Family Dance Night is on for Oct. 19th

The Dance will be on Friday, October 19th, 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the school gym. FREE pizza and drinks available (with pre-order only).

Update: The pre-order period for free pizza and drinks is now closed. There MAY be pizza left over after the second pick-up time and available for purchase.

Dance and Bingo Night is this Friday

Our rescheduled Dance and Bingo Night is happening this Friday, March 2nd!

  • March 2nd, 6 to 8 pm, in the Lakeview School gym
  • $5 per family (FREE for families with 1 adult volunteer signed up prior to the event! See below.)
  • Dance contests with prizes!
  • 50 cents per bingo card – prizes for winning cards!
  • Hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, bake sale treats, and glow sticks for sale
  • Funds raised will be used to purchase much-needed Chromebooks for Lakeview classrooms

We need some more volunteers and bakers for this Friday’s Dance and Bingo Night. If you can help out for one hour at the event or bake something for the bake sale, your family will get into the event for free!
