Looking for another way to embrace this wonderful winter?
Dropin Sports will be hosting Harbour Harvest, the fourth annual Ice Fishing Derby, this Sunday, February 17! No experience necessary.
This is a non-school / non-School Council event, but it is a community event we hope Lakeview PS families will come out and enjoy.
A portion of the donations from the event will go towards outdoor sports equipment for our school.
Hope to see you all there!
Mark your calendars! Lakeview’s 26th annual Mayfair is happening on May 11th, 2019. Stay tuned for more information about this wonderful community event.
Online ordering is open for Term 2 (Jan. 30 – Apr. 11) of the lunch program for Pizza, Pita and Popcorn. The deadline for Term 2 orders is January 24. A flyer was sent home recently, and further information on ordering can be found on the Lunch Programs page.
Our lunch programs raise funds for projects to benefit Lakeview students. (They also give parents a break from making lunches!)
For those who ordered holiday wreaths and centrepieces, they will be available at the school tomorrow for pickup, probably between 4 and 6 pm (time to be confirmed).
Or if you’re coming to the Council meeting tomorrow night (6:45 – 8:45 pm), you can pick them up then.
Thanks for participating in this fundraiser and supporting Lakeview!
The Lakeview School Council hosted the Scholastic Book Fair last week. Sales were phenomenal, and we raised thousands of dollars that the school can use to buy much-needed English leveled readers for the classrooms.
Thank you to everyone who came out and purchased items. Thank you also to those who volunteered to help with planning, setup and sales. This money wouldn’t have been raised without you!
Remember, tomorrow Lakeview students can purchase items at the book fair! And the fair is open to parents and the community tomorrow evening between 4:00 and 7:30 pm. So after your parent-teacher interview, stop by and check out the great selection of kids books!
See the flyers for just some of the books available at the fair:
All proceeds will go towards purchasing new English Leveled readers for the classrooms. If we reach $1500 or more in sales, Lakeview receives 50% of sales worth of books!
