Lakeview Council & School Travel Planning Committee thank all of our school friends for joining us in our winter walk day! We were grateful for the nice weather and the wonderful turn out! Children know that using active transportation to and from school is part of a healthy lifestyle, it’s good for the environment and it makes them feel happier. A recent Ontario study indicated that a whopping 42% of children are driven to school. Thank you to our special guests: PHIZ, Ottawa Fire Services and Paramedics, City Councillor Mark Taylor and Trustee Kavanagh for being a part of this event and supporting safe and active transportation in our community.
