Your School Council has been very active this year in providing funding to the school to increase science and art-related activities that support the curriculum. Council has also provided funding for new outdoor toys for the kinders and bus transportation for our athletes to compete in the cross-country event in October.
Council has been busy working towards ‘safer routes to school’ by conducting parent surveys on trouble zones in the area as well as traffic observations in these zones. And as in years past, Council has funded two National Arts Centre orchestra performances (1st one on Nov. 27th) and the Tradansa multicultural dance workshops taking place in early December.
We want to thank all of you who have used our new online ordering system for pizza and pita wrap lunch orders. This has been a great success! We will be using it for some future fundraising campaigns, including holiday gift baskets from Equator Coffee. Stay tuned!
